
On an annual basis, the Housing Authority of Joliet awards multiple academic scholarships to enable Public Housing Program, Low Income Housing Tax Credit or Housing Choice Voucher Program residents to continue their education.
Scholarships range from $500 to $1,500 per semester and are available for new enrollment or continuing enrollment individuals in an accredited post-secondary educational institution, vocational, trade, technical, barber, beauty, or cosmetology school. Award is based on an eligible applicant’s financial need and academic merit.
Applicants must have either a high school diploma or a General Education Degree (GED) to be considered eligible for this program. Additionally, at the time of scholarship application submission and at the time of scholarship award, a recipient must be a legally authorized household member with the Housing Authority of Joliet’s Public Housing Program, Low Income Housing Tax Credit or Housing Choice Voucher Program.
No scholarship program applications will be mailed out or faxed to interested parties.
All materials submitted to the Housing Authority of Joliet for this scholarship program become the property of the Housing Authority of Joliet and will not be returned to applicants.
